Consultant and Executive Partner - Andrew Baum
Andrew Baum is Professor of Land Management at the University of Reading in the UK, Chairman of the Investment Committee for CBRE Investors Global Multi-Manager team and Chairman of Property Funds Research, London, which is an international property research and consulting business.
From July 2001 to July 2007 he was a non-executive director of Grosvenor Ltd, a major UK property investment and development company; from 2004-6 he was also an investment adviser to The Crown Estate. Andrew Baum has worked in senior research and investment positions for: Prudential, as Head of Property Research; Henderson Global Investors as Chief Investment Officer, Property, and as Director of International Property; and for Invesco Real Estate as Head of Strategy. In 2001 he established Oxford Property Consultants, which by 2006 had become a leading European fund of funds manager. Oxford Property Consultants was sold to CBRE Investors in 2006 and now has over £2bn of global assets under management. Oxford Property Consultants also established the first global database of property investors, property funds and managers, a business now bought back and maintained by Property Funds Research.
He is a visiting faculty member on the Harvard University Advanced Management Program, USA, and Fellow of the Amsterdam School of Real Estate, Netherlands. He has been a full time or part time academic since 1975 and is founder and President of the Reading Real Estate Foundation, a charity which supports real estate education and connects the university with industry. He is also author of several standard real estate textbooks.
Andrew Baum was appointed Consultant Partner and Head of Strategic Research for Internos Real Investors in February 2008.
