Consultant and Executive Partner - Mark Cole

Mark Cole has a degree in Business and Finance from Loughborough University and an MBA (1989) from City University/Cass Business School. He joined Midland Bank in 1983 and, in 1985, The Bank of New England, working in Boston and London. In 1987, he started a 14 year career with Robert Fleming & Co Ltd where he was a Director from 1993. In this period, as advisor, lender and investor, he acquired a cross-section of senior banking experience – M&A, recapitalisations, restructurings, management buyouts, IPO’s and private equity with some real estate exposure.

In 1999, Mark moved to Jardine Fleming, Hong Kong, as Head of Corporate Banking and Acquisition Finance and acting Deputy CEO and was instrumental in the sale of the Jardine Fleming Bank unit to Standard Bank after Fleming’s acquisition by JP Morgan Chase in 2001. He was also non-executive director of Jardine Fleming Pacific Finance.

From 2001 to 2008 he was with HSBC Investment Bank, as Global Co-Head of Finance Risk and Advisory until 2006, then, as Managing Director Principal Investments and a member of the Executive Committee for PI covering France, Turkey, CEE and Global Special Opportunities until Dec 2008.

As a senior banker, with experience covering four economic cycles, Mark Cole brings invaluable experience to Internos especially in the fields of international debt financing and negotiation and principal investment. He has been a member of The Chartered Institute of Bankers since 1984. He joined Internos in September 2009.
